MVP in 30 Days: The Orb21 Execution Protocol

Speed is Safety

The biggest risk to a pre-seed startup is not "bad code". It is not "scalability".

The biggest risk is building something nobody wants.

If it takes you 6 months to launch, you have burned 6 months of cash and emotional energy without learning a single thing from a real customer. That is suicide.

At Orb21, we force every internal project to follow the Razor Protocol.

Goal: Go from "Idea" to "First Transaction" in 30 days. No exceptions.

Week 1: The Razor (Scope Down) Most founders want to build a Swiss Army Knife. We force you to build a scalpel.

  • **The Exercise:** Write down every feature you *think* you need. (Login, Profile, Settings, Search, Messaging, Payments).
  • **The Cut:** Remove 80% of them.
  • **The Reality:** You don't need a "Profile Page" to sell a product. You don't need "Forgot Password". You don't need "Dark Mode".

Build only the Core Loop: User sees value -> User pays -> User gets value. If the loop is broken, the features don't matter.

Week 2: The Simulation (No Code / Low Code) Before writing a single line of React, can we simulate the backend?

  • **Database:** Use Airtable or Google Sheets. It supports 50,000 rows. That's enough for your first 500 customers.
  • **Frontend:** Use a landing page builder (Carrd/Webflow) or a simple Next.js boilerplate.
  • **Logic:** Use Zapier or Make.com to connect them. "If New Form Submission -> Send Email".

If you cannot solve the customer's problem manually (concierge MVP) for 1 person, you cannot solve it with code for 10,000.

Week 3: The Assembly (Lego Blocks) Now we code. But we don't code from scratch. We assemble.

We use the Orb21 Stack which is optimized for velocity: - Auth: Clerk (Takes 10 mins). Don't build your own auth. - Backend: Supabase (Postgres + Auto API). Takes 10 mins. - Payments: Stripe or Paystack. Copy-paste the checkout code. - UI: Shadcn/UI or Tailwind UI. Copy-paste components.

We don't reinvent the wheel. We are in the business of selling cars, not inventing new types of rubber for tires.

Week 4: The Sale (Get Rejected) This is the scary part. You launch.

It will be buggy. It will be ugly.

Do it anyway.

Get it in front of 50 people. Ask them to pay.

  • If they say "No", ask "Why?". That conversation is worth more than 1000 hours of coding. Maybe the price is wrong. Maybe the problem isn't painful enough.
  • If they say "Yes", you have a business.

Summary

Reid Hoffman said: *"If you are not embarrassed by your first version, you've launched too late."*

We take that literally. Get embarrassed fast. Get rejected fast. Learn fast. Win.
